Orphan Foals in NV Need Help Their Mommies were shipped to slaughter foals' ages 1-4 months. www.equineangel-helpinghorses.webs.comURGENT: Orphan Foals There are 7 orphan foals at the NV feedlot. They are terrified and a little beat up from their ordeal of being gathered and hauled. They must get out of there ASAP, before they dehydrate (it’s in the 90’s), incur injuries, or become sick… I’ve arranged for them to be transported to a safe layover in the morning. The funds to buy them from the feedlot and transport them will be needed by midnight tonight. Needed: $525 for the foals + $350 for their transport = $875 To help, go to PayPal and send funds to e q u i n e a n g e l 2 2 @ y a h o o . c o m Descriptions: - Sorrel colt, w/strip face, approx 1-2 months old - Dark buckskin filly, w/strip face, approx 1-2 months old - Light colored bay filly, w/strip face, approx 3 months old - Sorrel filly, w/strip face & 4 white socks, approx 3-4 months old - Bay filly, w/star & strip, approx 1-2 months old - Light colored buckskin colt, w/star, approx 3-4 months old - Sorrel colt, w/star, approx 4 months old Sadly, there is nothing that can be done for the mares. www.fallonlivestock.com/reports/20110607.pdfTthat is cents per lb not dollars for horses The actual cost of these horses is 8-23 cents a pound from the auction reports. Roughly $25- $50 per baby , although more than likely it was a lot cheaper than that , think who is sending those mom's to the slaughtrhouse and who is making a lot of money off of the sad story., not the people who have to rehab and feed these babies the people who are selling them at inflated prices and selling their mom's off. Why would you help them buy more horses?

The rescue that is getting the 7 foals and a pony from the feedlot is the same rescue that asked us to take in 4 horses because they could not afford them anymore. 2 of them have severe hoof issues, one is incredibly foundered they both need dental care, xrays and corrective hoof care. 1 may not even ever be saved.
I told the woman who pulls horses from the feedlot never ever to send horses there and nwo she is sending 8 horses while pawning off her neglected horses off on another non profit namely me who has a full time job and pays for all the horse's out of my own paycheck and do not live off donations .
This is disturbing

That is horrible. I have a hard time dealing with people that have lives dangling for money. But what does one do to help. What about purchasing directly from the feedlot? Not that I am in a situation to do so.

www.fallonlivestock.com/ is the auction yard, but they are in the feedlot and already owned by the "rescuer" buying them
